Parents, students must have a signed permission slip in order to watch the movie! If you would rather your child not watch the movie, that is completely fine!

This Week: September 28 - October 2

Monday, September 28:Kick-Off: Crazy Sentences (Nouns, verbs, and adjectives)
In Class: Vocabulary Bingo: Lesson 11 and 12 Vocabulary words
Homework: Study for Vocabulary Test (Test is on Lesson 12. There may be a few lesson 11 words on the test as the tests build on each other so students review words and don’t forget them after the test on that lesson!)

Tuesday, September 29:
Kick-Off: Identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives
Vocabulary Test
Reading Assignment: Begin in class after test. Finish for homework. Read Ch. 9 in The Outsiders. Complete reading check as you read (five questions)

Wednesday, September 30:
Kick-Off: Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives
Class work: discuss Ch. 9 and take up reading checks
Read Chapter 10 while completing the “Picture” comprehension sheet. (only questions on Ch. 10).
Homework: finish class work

Thursday, October 1:
Kick-Off: Nouns, verbs, and adjectives
Class: discuss Ch. 10. Share answers to “Picture” comprehension sheet
Read Ch. 11 together and complete the answer to the third picture
Homework: Make sure all kick-offs are done and review them for Kick-Off Quiz

Friday, October 2:
Kick-Off Quiz
Read Ch. 12 in The Outsiders
